In the before- and afteract of industrialization, a number of opressive ideologies has been able to grow, undisturbed like beds of weeds in the of mind garden of our system. It's easy to understand how Darwin's theory of origin of spieces, with its competitive thinking, was a contributory factor for racial biology in the west. More than anything else, the evolution theory's scientifical rasism constituted the prelude of the industrial wiev on man, in the sense that all natural attractions can always be connected with a materialistic cause, and that genetical display of power is passing on the generations. The enslaved instinct drives out the free will and choice, one can argue, giving the fitest male full access to the female.
The devastating results can be certified in just any commonly used prejudiced biology school book. As a tool for maintaining the higher value of heterosexuality over other forms of social life, Darwin's biologism is still used to suggest that all life is cast in the same straight mould, due to some occult biological reason. Incorporated in every kinder garden, it continuesly uphold old gender roles, giving a few people privileges, on the basis of an antiquated category of (hetero)sexuality. It's questionable if heterosexuality should be concidered a sexuality at all, as much as it's a social construction, when people are being socially rewarded by the society, only for labeling themselves as hetero.
During the age of industrialization, two political opressive ideologies came to existence, on which a significant narrow-mindedness, stuck on how to own, exploit and distribute property resources, is blamed. On behalf of socialism, Karl Marx accomplishs a refinement of Darwin's science on materialistic evolution, so called history materialism. To a greater degree than before, man is regarded a competitive and distinctively uncreative form of mechanical animal speices, merely created to be associated with a linear chain of production. Society's development through revolution, is thought to be based on materialistic grounds only, and the terminal point of mandkind is, in the spirit of the time, thought of as a material state of existence; a collective status quo of happy workers in a not too distant industrial future. In other words, the immaterial is founded on the material, never the other way around. Accordingly, the principal question is whom ownes what and whom ownes whom, and never why it is possible for something or someone to be owned at all. A capitalism in democratic disguise.
The materialistic triumphal procession, continues during the 20th century, when science theory, with its empirical criterion for verification, kills philosophy and supresses every possible imagination and creativity. Now, everything must be measurable in order to be considered relevant for society's success. Statements with but a scrap of idea, are immediately dismissed as nonsens. The moralistic starting-point of Marx, is hardly living up to its expectations. The duty of science, almost a religious task, is to conserve hypothesises in an unbreakable hard core of indisputable facts - the purest form of materialism.
Today, all this is what we instantaneously and without due reflection, accept as development. It's the material perfection, in its first shape represented by an ape male's biological supremacy, later by factors of production, and in its strongest shape consisting of reality hysteria, that we embrace as evolution. It might, always unquestioned, look like evolution rely on the material. This is a strange view on success. Suppose that society is not at all developing, as Marx claimed, towards a material state of existance, but on the contrary to a mental state of existence. Suppose that progress is not a working scientific advancing, an eternal adding from zero, but in fact an idle but changeable dispositioning of the exact same amount. "Nothing ever goes away", like any media student stand in, condemned to host the kid's show on TV during summer, would have put it.
Industrialization declares that it is able to explain everything about the world, depending on materialism. This ideal shall hibernate in our information society for a small period of time. Medical companies neverending hunt for sexuality and behaviouristic evidence in the human DNA, defines the transitional period when industrialism, not without difficulty, is clinging to our new era. It will not last long before we'll see a flood of sciences claiming there's such a thing as mental DNA. The history will repeat itself, with the introduction of a micro molecular form of racial biology.
In time, the information society will kill Darwin and his theory of evolution; the computer nerd's final victory over the muscle man. The queer movement's arrival, introducing its social constructivism, has made theories on human's and other animal's processes of change more complex, universal and gender neutral - more mental and less material, one might say. We have a free choice of roles, they are no longer necessarily forced on us by some mysterious biological law. In the future, queer will not be mistaken for some exotic ending-product of civilization's tolerance, as queer wievs will be the normality of society. By this time, it will be a naturalness for men to carry out operations to get wombs, to go through pregnancy the same way as women, and the conception of male and female according to behaviour, looks or body will be irrelevant. Now, a more intellectual idea of evolution will prosper. The perception of psycological capacities will change, and mental exertions, such as mind reading and clairvoyance, will be encouraged as a natural part of human development.
Spiritually matured mandkind will set other priorities. Placed in everything from an ecological to a psycological perspective: What is the wisest? To overgo one's expectations or to go under to self limitation? Survival of the fitest, right?
In reality, it's the conception of progress that's the real problem. Throughout the west, we've had the faculty for wieving roll-over-mentality, undependingly how much social and cultural costs it may have, as something good. We're the one's giving the nobel prize to someone responsible for inventing DDT. Suppose that the discoveries, inventions and regenerations of one particular age, never are possible to compare with the ones of another age, only able to be comprehended within its own context. A cyborg in the year of 2084 is not a continuation of a computer 2006 is not a continuation of a cuneiform writing in 4000 bc. To their own time, they hold the exact same comparison figure and value-per-unit. Therefor, there's no such thing as development in the sense we've learned; as a progress, a line of production, an evolution, a path towards socialism, a salvation, a retaliation of claims based on new empirical facts, or a future. All progress is merely designing of a fixed amount, placed at all creative creatures disposal, under their certain conditions; a shifting manifestation with the same lump of clay and the same tools, but shaped differently by different people in different mental stages. The duty of the spiritually underdeveloped mankind, too concentrated on materialism, is in a way to unlearn everything that we've learned so far.
